This is good advice - so where are the instructions for appointing a proxy? (Not useful to me, as it stands at the moment, since I've been non UK resident for too long!)

Yes they are excellent. I was very surprised when I saw them a number of years ago in Palombaro. I wasn't expecting them to be so good considering Queen are hard to copy especially with an Italian accent!

Shortly after the concert I saw them in the singer had a very bad car accident and was in a coma for a long time. Great to see him back to full fitness.

I?ve just received this info from British in Italy, so if you want to vote and are eligible to do so, it?s worth considering a proxy vote.

Here?s the info

As you may have seen from recent media coverage, there is a strong possibility that the UK Parliament will call a snap election. I am writing to you as a registered overseas elector to advise you of the tight legislative and operational timetable which we must work to in such circumstances. From the Prime Minister?s declaration to hold an Election, Returning Officers must deliver an election within 25 working days.

The nomination period takes up the first six days and only after this period has elapsed can we instruct Printers to prepare Ballot Paper proofs, final artwork and proceed to print. Typically, this process takes between 5 and 7 days which results in the Returning Officer not receiving ballot papers for distribution until 14 days prior to the election.

Given the ?snap? nature of a possible future election, the time available for distribution and return of a Ballot Paper is limited.

Legislation does not permit the electronic distribution of Ballot Papers and therefore ALL Ballot Papers which must be sent to addresses outside the UK are sent via Air Mail and include an international pre-paid return envelope. Equally, electronic return is NOT permitted. Only Ballot Papers received by the Returning Officer by 10pm on election day can be included in the Count.

Given the above, you may wish to mitigate any possible delays in delivery or return by appointing a proxy to vote in the UK on your behalf.

Kind Regards,
Electoral Services Support Officer

Very strange and suspicious. 625 'people' on 12th September. Didn't even have that many online just after the 2009 earthquake.  ???

Over the last few days we seem to have become very popular. Have a look at the stats for ?most online?! We are keeping an eye on such unusual activity.

I've been to see this group a few times and they are always excellent. Surprised there perhaps wasn't many there as whenever I've seen them recently it is been packed.

They appeared in Italy's Got Talent a few years ago and finished second or third, which I have on good authority is quite rare for a tribute band.

Really sorry to be posting this after the event, but at villa Bozza last night was a queen tribute band. They were excellent, quite a few but not enough people there, especially as it was free!

They will be back next year so keep a look out for them.

Here's their promotional video.
Thank you so much mFiamberti ..... still not sure what we are doing yet I suppose so much depends on what happens in the UK this year?

Such a shame because I love it here.

Appreciate the links
