Running a business in Italy / Re: Opening up a new airbnb, help needed
« Last post by profsid on July 15, 2019, 01:31:06 PM »
Thanks for your help that would be great, i don't want to do a b&b but just rent out our flat so if it involved sending photos of id cards/passports to the  local authorities  that would  be easy to do but if i need the ASL to inspect  etc it would be a pain.so any info would be appreciated.

I used to rent out my property for holidays. Due to my UK job I had to ensure everything was 110% above board and official. The property managers I used at the time sorted everything out, including being officially registered here in Abruzzo that included registering guests with the relevant authorities etc., etc..

Not a very costly exercise, but certainly worth the peace of mind.

I'll mention this thread to the guys I used at the time and see if they want to add anything to it.

Good luck

This is news to me I have been renting my house in Abruzzo for the last five years with no problems.on air b@b . I do a tax return in the Uk which I don't need to as the profit is low . I have also taken the accounts to my to my Italian accountant and no problems. I wouldn't worry just rent.

I just had a little google on AirB&b in italy and found this :-

https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Hosting/The-New-Airbnb-Law-in-Italy/td-p/412626

It?s from 2017 but looks a bit complicated (what isn?t ? ) do you have a commercialisata? Or a contract with Air b&b?

Good Luck

Running a business in Italy / Opening up a new airbnb, help needed

Hi, we're just about ready to open our airbnb up but need to get our head round the requirements neede for the Abruzzo authorities and also i believe the guests need to sign a contract when they stay.We only want to rent it out occasionally,  so less than 30 days ,so a short term stay.
If anyone has already gone through the process with airbnb or with another company any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks  :)S

Running a business in Italy / Grants possible for tourist accomodation?
« Last post by Lui on June 01, 2019, 04:22:58 PM »
This link popped up on my facebook today, probably because I follow my Comune page. From a quick scan, and bearing in mind my less than fluent grasp of Italian, it looks like grants may be available to improve tourist accommodation up to 60% of the costs. Some members who run B & B may be interested. If I've got the wrong end of the stick here apologies in advance for my feeble translating powers.  I'm sure that someone will step in to clarify matters.          http://www.abruzzosviluppo.it/2019/05/27/imprese-turistiche-regionali-cosa-possibile-finanziare-la-l-r-772000/?fbclid=IwAR0dUh_YB2iSjkpagspoHauZ0q80h7NeTB9Yu1iRZmh0wOt_KFZdJTG89XA

Thank you! We've spent 6 months talking with various organisations and people here in Sulmona, who came to us first but nothing came of it.  So now we are reaching out. Several people contacted us last week and we have two viables we think. I'll keep you posted!

Running a business in Italy / FOR SALE: Welcome to Sulmona
« Last post by Tartufa on February 18, 2019, 04:49:20 PM »
Dear Friends of Sulmona,
The time has come for us to move on.
It has been a great adventure but for various personal reasons, mainly to do with family, time constraints & distance, we cannot continue to run www.welcometosulmona.com in the way which we want.
In the meantime, we are committed to keeping the business and the website going for the benefit of our valued clients and partners, but the fact is we need to find a buyer who will be able to take it to the next level.
If you think you might enjoy running WTS, and you are interested in more info, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at info@welcometosulmona.com
