Dear lauclamor,
it's not true. I'm italian and I have a little baby and starting from 6 months we are following the project Nati Per Leggere, is a low cost project that all babies and toodlers in pre shoolar age can attend all over Italy.
I personally go to Ortona public library every 2 weeks from september to june paying 9 euro per month.
But there are many other reading groups.
We do also music lessons with a spin off project of Nati per Leggere named Nati per la Musica.

You can find all info on internet.

Best regards,
F.

Schooling / Re: Looking for an English nanny - Tollo

;) all English people live in Teramo area, come to Tollo!!!!It looks like Tuscany but much more economic: vineyards, good wine and food, clean air, near the see and countrylife. Cantina Tollo is the 3rd one in Italy.
Many country houses for sale at low prices.

It's a paradise!!!!

:D

Buongiorno, I think au pair is a good option for toddlers, but not for babies, too much responsability I think.
Don't you?

Thanks.

Thanks

I thought about this solution, thank you! But I fear that wages in the UK are much higher than in Italy.

Tartufa is right, many of us are retired and those who arenít usually have employment and or young families.

If you were offering a Ďlive iní position it would be worth advertising in the uk and, as T says, interview over video phone.

No one else has replied so I'll suggest that it may be difficult finding a native speaker already here who needs or wants this type of work.  Advertising with a UK based agency and conducting an interview via Skype might work better. The demographic which includes suitable nannies is not well represented in Abruzzo.

Dear all,
it's me again. I'm still looking for a good English native nanny for my 8 months old baby girl.
I live in Tollo and i would find a nice person, creative and patient. I can also provide for an accomodation.
Working time would be  Monday to Friday from 8 am to 2 pm.
My baby is very calm, I have also a big garden for long walking.

I'm looking forward to receiving a reply :)
