Abruzzo in pictures / Re: A Civetta or little owl

Thank you but he is with me every morning at 5am ...Its getting kind of boring taking photos Lol
I’m not too sure I understand, but is it because the photo’s mean little as compared to the real thing? I’m sure a few people here would not agree, but I see what I see and the pictures are “pictures”. Those that see the real thing know that pictures are never the same..

This little guy has been a regular visitor ever since we saved him from Feral cats a few weeks ago . He joins me to watch the sunrise every morning. I feel so honoured .
So you should Kev as he is stunning!

Abruzzo in pictures / Our Little owl

So when we helped him to escape the cats ...we checked him over , popped him in a basket and left him on our upstairs balcony overnight. At 5am the following morning he called out to his mum, she flew down , fed him and eventually they flew off together . This was him in his overnight basket.

I should just say we were wearing gloves so as not to leave that awful human smell on it :)

You can add ‘ eventi atmosferici ‘ to your car insurance. I thought it was daft till I saw the damage hail stones can do.

As I’ve said before, we spotted loads of camouflage cars when we first arrived and it took me a few hail storm events before I realised what caused there this! Last year’s hail in July threw down hail the size of the old sherbet saucers you got when we were little, worse still they were exactly the same shape! Razor sharp, they took entire stalks off the plants in one fell swoop. Went straight through any plastic lying around the house, so you can imagine what it could do to your car – hence ours stays under cover.
