There's also one on the SS81 on the left heading towards Penne just after the turning for Montebello, can't remember its name.

As Venatore mentioned, if you like to browse, there is quite a big DIY store at Cepagatti called Sciarra, also worth a gander. From you, you will pass it on the way to the shopping mall called Megalo, two birds and all that.  :)

Candeloro can supply most building materials, drainage, blocks cement, sand plaster etc dont be put off by their showroom, which displays bathrooms in the main.

Also the ubiquitous Leroy merlin near Ikea is handy for browsing small items and for learning the names of products. It's a bit like B&Q on steroids.

Not sure of any builders merchants in Civitella, but there is a good one not too far away at Passo Cordone on the SS81, (near Loreto Aprutino) called Candeloro. Very good prices and the guys who work in the yard are very helpful. I'm sure they would deliver to Civitella if needed. They have a good supply of bathrooms etc., if you need that sort of stuff.

Good luck

Hi Nick. It depends what you're looking for; there's actually a place in Civitella (we're just outside the village) which has quite a bit. Also, "Candeloro", the tile / kitchen / bathroom place in Passo Cordone has a builder's merchant at the back of it.

Good luck!

Markets and other shops / Re: M&S orders to Italy

Thanks a lot Levi. I have used M&S frequently over the years - especially for kids' clothes. The service and delivery times have always been excellent. Let's hope that continues. I'm not sure I understand why they have done this. Let's hope they have not made a massive assumption (as NEXT did) that we prefer to shop in Italian and use an Italian credit card...

For anyone who orders goods from M&S

“We're making some changes to the delivery service currently available from M&S UK.

When these changes take place you'll need to shop your new dedicated website, marksandspencer.com/it, if you wish to ship to Italy. We'll no longer be shipping to Italy from 6 April (23:59 GMT) on marksandspencer.com.

What’s in it for me?

Well, using the new Italy site means you’ll benefit from a better service - including free delivery over €50 and local currency transactions.

What’s next?

Instead of shopping on marksandspencer.com, you’ll now need to shop at marksandspencer.com/it to access all those added benefits.

What about my UK account?

Sending to the UK? Go ahead and use your current M&S account, but from 6 April (23:59 GMT) you won’t be able to ship from marksandspencer.com to Italy
