LL, do tell us about your trip, where you stayed and what it was like. Did you get to see much of Abruzzo and what you thought of the places?

Well my boyfriend is from Pescara and his parents put us up, they have taken us around every day and they have been really nice, to me it seems Italians are really proud of their home towns, even if some of the “sights” wasn’t anything special. But the food has been excellent I have never eaten so much… the time has seemed to fly, I will be back to work on Friday and back to the grey streets of london :'( :'(, hope to return maybe xmas

Hi, just found this website which seems to show a pretty comprehensive list of markets throughout Abruzzo... http://conoscere.abruzzoturismo.it/index.php?Canale=Cosa&IDCanaleSub=2&IDCanaleSubSub=0&IDItem=3308&ItemType=BC

Mostly they sell Chinese c..p but the food sections are always good and Scafa market on a Thursday morning has a great bead seller with all sorts of nice stone and glass beads from a few euros to much more.Mostly they are loose strands or beads for you to use in your own designs.

I've bought stuff from him to include in a client's necklace here when I have not been able to find what I need online!

Also in Scafa I  bought my daughter a fab vintage faux fur coat for 5 euros but there has been a 'crackdown' on the clothes sellers so last time there was just a couple of Moroccan guys.
I think it was implied they people were getting stuff left by recycling bins then selling it.To me that seems very entrepreneurial and far better than traipsing up and down the beach with plastic c..p no one wants :-\
