2-bedroom apartment in Sulmona's historic centre - €165,000
« on: February 03, 2018, 05:29:04 PM »

A rare opportunity to buy a ‘ready-to-go’ apartment in the historic centre of Sulmona.

This apartment is located on a side street parallel to Corso Ovidio, and close to all of the town’s major attractions and services.

Covering approx. 118m2 (1,270 sq. ft.) on the second floor of a noble palazzo most likely built in the mid 19th century, it features 2 double bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, a fully fitted kitchen, living room with open fireplace, laundry room, ample storage and a sunny balcony which runs along the length of the apartment overlooking a quiet garden below.

The apartment was totally renovated in 2016.

Features include wooden flooring throughout, insulated double doors with shutters in all rooms – those along the long side of the apartment (including both bedrooms) open out onto the balcony which has views of the Annunziata and of the nearby mountains. There are high ceilings and wide doorways with traditional panelled doors adding a sense of grandeur and light to the interior.

The spacious sitting room has a wood-burning ‘stufa’ in the open fireplace plus a TV point and access to the recessed storage area.

The kitchen features a four-ring gas hob, a full-sized oven, a fridge / freezer and a half-sized dishwasher. There is also a washing machine in a separate area off the kitchen.

Both bathrooms, one of which is ensuite, have showers, bidets and heated towels rails.

The hallway is unusually wide and spacious adding to the sense of space within the apartment.

Currently offered as a vacation rental, it is fully furnished and equipped with everything required for a comfortable stay.

The apartment is available with all furniture, fixtures, fittings and housewares* and is ready to move into.

Perfect as a permanent home or a vacation retreat which could also generate an income when not in use by the owners.

It could also be easily reconfigured as two separate, independent one-bedroom apartments sharing a common entrance & hallway.

Congratulations Tatuffa. I was going to create a post about the current state of the market but glad that you beat me to it! There soes seem to be a return to normal feeling about the market. Apprehensions about Brexit seem to have taken a back seat in may peoples minds.

We have seen our busiest start to a year for a long time, usually the market does not get going until the spring but this year has been an exception.  As for selling quickly, its like anything, if you have a good product and it is priced correctly there will always be buyers. Over half of the sales we do don't even make it on our website, the ones that have been on for a long time are there for a reason and often because they are over priced or do not have the wow factor.

It will be an interesting year ahead as we get further into Brexit but the current situation is very encouraging.

I have also noted that buy to move sales are the in thing at the moment especially amongst working age people. Considering the state of the exchange rate etc it tells me that people are just determined on a life change.
