Pub and restaurant recommendation pescara
« on: January 23, 2018, 02:08:44 PM »
Hi everyone. We have a gang of auld rugby fans here as cheaper to fly here and bus it to Rome for the rugby. They are asking about recommendations for a sports pub in Pescara where they can watch the Saturday matches and a recommendation for the evening. Anyone any suggestions as we rarely eat ‘downtown,’thank you.

I head to downtown Pescara quite a lot, but mainly in the warmer weather months :). The street I love at night is Via Cesare Battisti, loads of restaurants, bars and even a couple of microbrewries/brewpubs all spilling out onto the street. I cannot say what bars, if any will be showing the rugby, but a street worth heading to all the same. The street is just off the main pedestrianised road heading from the train station to the beach.

If you go there on the morning/lunch time of the rugby, I'm sure they'll be signs outside the bars who will be screening it. Someone will bound to be showing it.

I agree - I saw some Champions League football in bar on this street - so it is more than likely that the rugby will be on (at least until Italy has lost a couple of matches!!!)

I'm sure if there is enough of them and the bar(s) know how much they will spend that they will have no problem finding somewhere good to watch. Let's hope they do and they all have such a great time they want to see more of the place. Just glad I'm not looking for flights around then ;D

Thanks everyone for suggestions. Info passed on and am sure they will charm their way into somewhere. A very left out hubby here as I booked UK flights on the day of the match and he can’t play out with the boys!
