Civetta or Little owl

These can be such noisy little creatures ... I am currently serenaded to sleep each night by nightingales - don't you just love Abruzzo?

Thanks... I try to promote Abruzzo to all my friends and various nature conservationists/trekkers  using the photos. But I struggle as I cannot afford more equipment . And this lens is a 300mm max.

I can't compete with Little Owls. but we have a pair of Scops Owls who live in the nearby park. I have never seen them but there have this weird electronic hoot. It feels like i am living in a except of "Das Boot" Suddenly as well we keep seeing Badgers. I watched one wandering up a neighbours drive the other night.

Cesare I have never seen a scops owl either... thats awesome.

My dream is to see a European Eagle Owl in the wilds of Abruzzo - I have some hunter friends who said they have seen them here in the Teramo region and other wildlife freaks like me, who say not a chance ... Hey ho  and thanks Scrittore  :)
