but does anyone have actual experience of registering and deregistering for the above?

Yes - I have a partita IVA and have done for 6 years now.  Very easy to register but why would you want to deregister?  I guess it's possible that someone might get back into employment from being self-employed rare amongst us lot I think.  Having a partita IVA has many advantages but a fair few disadvantages too.

Thanks for the post

I have heard many things about this ,and its always a difficult subject to discuss, in the fact that it involves personal finance.The system doesnt seem as simple as in the UK.To that end  I shall leave it to my commercialista to sort out,after all thats what I pay him for!
