I just fell upon this today. A breathtaking contract change from Telecom Italia.
Telecom Italia (TIM) are putting up their charges for telephone landlines (and, presumably, ADSL) from April 1st. They are going to charge their 'monthly' fees on a 28 day basis, (effectively an 8.6% increase).
More importantly, or so says the article (although it doesn't go into details), after April 1st it will become more costly to get rid of your land line or to change operator.
So, if you have been idly considering whether you really need your landline, this is a bit of encouragement to get rid of it in the next fortnight!
