Dog or wolf?
« on: February 10, 2017, 04:26:47 PM »
This pic was sent to me by Rome Tony, spotted in his garden, and he asks is it a dog or wolf. Looks pretty wolf like to me, what do you think?

Thanks for putting up the pic Levi.

I am still unsure ,most people think its a wolf, however the vet i sent the photo to says its a dog and I suppose she should know.
I have seen this type of Husky as a pet in the UK but not here in Abruzzo.

Still it was wonderful to see and an experience ,I and my dog will never forget.
We only saw it once, however for a few nights after my dog would bark in the early hours and unusually when having to go out and try to placate her at 3 in the morning she wouldnt exit past the front gate with me.normally she hares off to investigate ,happy of me as muscle and support on these occasions no..
I was just pleased my neighbour managed to get a photo on his way home from work.

If it had made a noise then it should have been easy to tell.  I've heard a wolf howl and it was an uncanny sound totally unlike any sound a dog can make.
