DVDs
« on: August 17, 2016, 02:11:48 PM »
Has anyone any idea where to get some English language DVDs new or old. I am in the Sulmona area but am prepared to travel quite some distance depending on how annoying the kids get!
Thanks in hope.

The coop supermarket in Il Borgo Nuovo, Sulmona has a range of DVDS.  Some of them are in English (it tells you on the back what language they are in). Also many of the autostrada service station shops sell DVDS.  You could try there.

Hi Twin Peaks
That would be very handy. We were actually planning a trip to IKEA tomorrow but could maybe rearrange to suit.

You don't say how old the kids are - are we talking Postman Pat or Violetta?  I'll second Postmac however.  Also Buffetti on the road where the Agenzia d'Entrate is.  I can't help I'm afraid as most of our are in Italian or we use Netflix.

Don't a lot of the Italian DVD's have an option for choosing 'English Language' when loaded to play?

Thanks everyone, the coop Il Borgo Nuovo Sulmona came up trumps. Not a huge selection and only a few had an English language option but still enough to satisfy a ten and thirteen year old.
