I've had a look (enel site not revealing, but eni is better) and the contractual phrase is definitely 'non residente'. I'm not at all clear what this implies, but if I were a holiday home owner here I would have my ears pricked up for further clarification (or carefully read just what constitutes a television, and make sure you don't have any apparatus which comes into that category!)

But, as I say, far to early to worry about this stuff - it's not going to happen until July!

This RAI FAQ link would seem to confirm it's NOT payable using a computer only for radio or tv. There are other clear(ish) questions answering most queries I've seen.

Well found diggers. I'll cast my bar-room lawyer (aka Italain avvocato) eye over it when sober. (Shit, would probably be easier to do it somewhat squiffy)!

Latest update

60 will be added to June electric bills towards TV licence, with a further two payments of 20 in November and December, making a total of 100, which is a reduction from last year.

If you object, you must write vpbefore 13 April, sending your letter raccomandata to:-

Agenzia Di Entrata
Casella postale 22
10121
Torino

If you want further advice  you can phone 800 938 362

RAI site here , third item down on the right is still indicating you need to fill in the form they link to (there is a separate link for how to fill it in).  It has to be in by the 30th of April from what I gather.

Sorry to upset, but I was told in May that  it will be added to the July Enel bill.

RAI say July in this link here, but I would not be surprised if some people find it does not even come off then.

My ENEL  bill for july and August has just come in and includes 80 euros for the TV licence.

I remember a post to say that  the deadline to  object/not pay/claim you dont have a TV was April but does anyone know if this is still possible???

thanks

Nice to see it's no more straight forword than the previous 2 forms I looked at, do let us know how you get on if anyone tries it.

We have had our bill and 70 for Canone di Abbonamento alla TV da 01/2016 al 07/16. I believe I now have to contact Enel get a form to say I dont have a TV and then someone comes to check?

If you take a look at Lois Lane's post, a couple before yours, there is a link to the form for reimbursement, which you can print off, fill in and send off. Not sure what happens next though.
